What does the Ukulele programme teach?

Who teaches the ukulele classes?
Answer: Ukulele classes are conducted by skilled instructors under the guidance of Dr. Anurag Mishra (PhD, BHU). The team is also well-trained in other Western string instruments.
What is the right age for children to learn ukulele?
Answer: Children above 5 years can pick up the ukulele easily. Being a light and compact instrument, the ukulele is considered one of the most child-friendly options.
Can adults realistically learn the ukulele?
Answer: Yes — the ukulele is an excellent choice for adults too, since it is easy and fun to learn. Many of our adult learners between 40 and 60 are happily practising the ukulele.
How fast can one learn to play the ukulele?
Answer: The ukulele is one of the quickest instruments to pick up. Most learners can play basic songs in 3 months, reach a good level by 6 months, and become stage-ready within a year.
What are the timings for ukulele lessons?

Do ukulele students get to perform on stage?
Answer: Yes — ukulele students perform regularly at the Sunday Suno-Sunao stage, the annual Aarohi event and other cultural programmes throughout the year.
Is hostel facility available for outstation ukulele students?
Answer: Aalaap does not run a hostel of its own. Students from other cities usually stay in nearby PGs, rented rooms or private hostels close to our branches.

5 वर्ष से अधिक आयु के बच्चे भी उकलेले बजाना सीख सकते हैं। उकलेले हल्का एवं छोटा वाद्य है, इसलिए छोटे बच्चों के लिए यह सबसे अनुकूल विकल्प माना जाता है।
क्या व्यस्क भी उकलेले बजाना सीख सकते हैं?

बाहर से आने वाले विद्यार्थियों हेतु आवास की क्या व्यवस्था है?
अकादमी की अपनी आवासीय सुविधा नहीं है। दूसरे शहरों से आने वाले विद्यार्थी आलाप की शाखाओं के पास उपलब्ध पीजी, किराये के कमरे अथवा निजी छात्रावासों में रहकर सहजता से कक्षाएँ कर सकते हैं।
