Answer: Vocal training is led by Dr. Anurag Mishra (PhD, BHU). Dr. Mishra holds a doctorate in vocal music from Banaras Hindu University and has shaped the musical journeys of hundreds of students.
What is the right age for children to start vocal lessons?
Answer: Children aged 5 years and above can join vocal classes. For younger learners we begin with simple exercises, swar recognition and engaging songs to make the learning enjoyable.
Can someone over 45 still take up vocal training?
Answer: Of course — the voice can be refined with right training at any age. At Aalaap, many adult students between 40 and 65 are enjoying their vocal journey at their own comfortable pace.
How long does it generally take to master vocal music?
Answer: Mastery depends on disciplined daily practice. On average, learners pick up basic songs in 6 months, reach an intermediate level by one year, and grow into classical depth over two to three years.
What batch timings are available for the Vocal course?
Answer: Vocal sessions are held 2 to 3 days a week. You may join a morning, afternoon or evening batch depending on what works for you. The Timings page lists the complete schedule.

Do learners get a chance to sing on stage?
Answer: Yes — students perform regularly at the Sunday Suno-Sunao stage, the annual Aarohi event and other cultural occasions, which sharpens their stage skills steadily.
Is residential support available for students from other cities?
Answer: Aalaap does not run a hostel of its own. Outstation students typically arrange a PG, rented room or private hostel near our branches and attend classes from there.

क्या बाहर से आने वाले विद्यार्थियों हेतु आवास की सुविधा है?
अकादमी की अपनी आवासीय व्यवस्था नहीं है। अन्य शहरों से आने वाले विद्यार्थी शाखाओं के निकट उपलब्ध पीजी, किराये के कमरे अथवा निजी छात्रावासों में रहकर प्रशिक्षण ले सकते हैं।
