Who teaches the guitar classes at the academy?
Answer: Guitar classes are conducted by experienced instructors under the mentorship of Dr. Anurag Mishra (PhD, BHU). The teaching team is well-versed in both Western and Indian musical traditions.
From what age can a child start learning guitar?
Answer: Children above 7 years can begin learning guitar, as the instrument requires a certain finger grip and hand strength. For younger learners, we use smaller 1/2 or 3/4 size guitars that fit them comfortably.
Can someone in their mid-40s realistically learn guitar?
Answer: Yes, certainly. Many of our adult learners between the ages of 40 and 60 are progressing well on the guitar. The training pace is adapted to each individual's comfort and learning speed.
How quickly can one learn to play the guitar?
Answer: Progress depends on the regularity of your practice. Most students start playing basic songs within 4 to 6 months, reach a confident level by one year, and develop lead playing and stage skills by two years.
What are the available time slots for the Guitar course?

Answer: Yes — alongside core training, the course also covers Hindi film songs, ghazals, bhajans and folk pieces, so that you can comfortably play your favourite tunes on the guitar.
Do students get to perform live during the course?
Answer: Yes — Aalaap students regularly perform at the weekly Suno-Sunao stage, the annual Aarohi event and various local cultural programmes, which steadily builds their on-stage confidence.
What accommodation options exist for outstation students?
Answer: Aalaap does not offer its own accommodation. Students coming from other cities typically stay in rented rooms, PG facilities or private hostels available close to our branches.

गिटार सीखने की उपयुक्त आयु क्या है? क्या छोटे बच्चे भी कक्षा में आ सकते हैं?
7 वर्ष से अधिक आयु के बच्चे गिटार सीख सकते हैं, क्योंकि इस वाद्य के लिए उँगलियों में पकड़ एवं ताकत आवश्यक होती है। छोटे बच्चों हेतु छोटे आकार की 1/2 अथवा 3/4 साइज़ की गिटार का प्रयोग कराया जाता है।
क्या 45 वर्ष की आयु के बाद भी गिटार बजाना सीखा जा सकता है?
जी हाँ, बिल्कुल सीखा जा सकता है। हमारे यहाँ कई व्यस्क विद्यार्थी 40 से 60 वर्ष की आयु के बीच गिटार सीख रहे हैं। प्रशिक्षण आपकी गति के अनुसार धीरे-धीरे आगे बढ़ाया जाता है।
गिटार बजाने में कितना समय लग जाता है?
यह आपके रियाज़ एवं नियमित अभ्यास पर निर्भर करता है। अधिकांश विद्यार्थी 4 से 6 महीने में बुनियादी गीत बजाने लगते हैं, 1 वर्ष में अच्छे स्तर तक पहुँच जाते हैं, और 2 वर्ष में लीड एवं मंच प्रदर्शन के लायक हो जाते हैं।

बाहर से आने वाले विद्यार्थियों के लिए रहने की क्या व्यवस्था है?
अकादमी की अपनी आवासीय सुविधा नहीं है। अन्य शहरों से आने वाले विद्यार्थी आलाप की शाखाओं के निकट उपलब्ध किराये के कमरों, पीजी अथवा निजी छात्रावासों में रहकर पढ़ाई कर सकते हैं।
