Yes. Students of the Standard and Premium guitar courses receive an academy certificate after 6 months of learning. The Basic course is a short 3-month foundation course and does not include a certificate.

Guitar enrolments are accepted throughout the year. You may join either the Sigra branch or the Lanka branch at your convenience. It is advisable to book a visit time on 7565050505 before coming over.

Guitar classes are conducted by experienced instructors under the mentorship of Dr. Anurag Mishra (PhD, BHU). The teaching team is well-versed in both Western and Indian musical traditions.

Children above 7 years can begin learning guitar, as the instrument requires a certain finger grip and hand strength. For younger learners, we use smaller 1/2 or 3/4 size guitars that fit them comfortably.

Yes, certainly. Many of our adult learners between the ages of 40 and 60 are progressing well on the guitar. The training pace is adapted to each individual's comfort and learning speed.

Progress depends on the regularity of your practice. Most students start playing basic songs within 4 to 6 months, reach a confident level by one year, and develop lead playing and stage skills by two years.

All guitar batches run 3 days a week, 60 minutes per class. You can choose any available morning, afternoon or evening slot at Sigra or Lanka, subject to seats. The full schedule is on our Timings page.

The fee depends on the level you choose — Basic, Standard or Premium. You can pay month by month, or in advance for 3 or 6 months at a lower monthly rate (the 3-month Basic course is offered monthly or for 3 months). A one-time registration fee applies. Skilled guitarists can pursue careers as band members, stage artists, studio session players, online instructors, YouTube content creators or assistants to music directors.

Yes — Aalaap offers long-term professional preparation covering lead techniques, music theory, advanced practice, stage exposure and recording basics. Dr. Anurag Mishra personally mentors learners on this path.

Yes. The Standard course includes one one-to-one mentor class every month, and the Premium course includes three. In Premium, missed classes are also carried forward to the next month.

Yes — every plan includes the Aalaap student portal for the period you have paid for: your course plan and lesson videos, daily quiz, riyaz tools, notations and your progress report.

Yes. You can learn through live online guitar classes on video call, with the same syllabus and teachers. See Online Guitar Classes.

Yes — alongside core training, the course also covers Hindi film songs, ghazals, bhajans and folk pieces, so that you can comfortably play your favourite tunes on the guitar.

Yes — Aalaap students regularly perform at the weekly Suno-Sunao stage, the annual Aarohi event and various local cultural programmes, which steadily builds their on-stage confidence.

Aalaap does not offer its own accommodation. Students coming from other cities typically stay in rented rooms, PG facilities or private hostels available close to our branches.
