Aalaap is a reputed music institution in Varanasi dedicated to quality training in Vocal, Guitar, Bansuri (Flute), Piano, Harmonium, Violin and Ukulele. The academy is led by Dr. Anurag Mishra (PhD in Music, Banaras Hindu University) — a nationally awarded flautist with teaching experience at the Faculty of Performing Arts, BHU.
Our classes begin with meditation to enhance focus, followed by structured lessons that include stage performances, lecture-demonstrations by eminent artists, monthly progress reports, and certificate-based level exams. Students also receive guidance for CUET (BHU) and Prayag Sangeet Samiti entrance exams. We provide air-conditioned classrooms, CCTV-secured environment, and access to recording facilities — nurturing confidence, discipline, and artistic expression through theory, technique, and performance.

His training is rooted in the Banaras Gharana — formal talim under Pandit Pashupati Nath Mishra, accepted as a disciple through the traditional Ganda Bandhan ceremony. That parampara gives Aalaap students a raag-based understanding and authentic Banarasi Thumri training.
